2023 Conference Information

Registration now open for our Annual Conference, “We Are the Village.” This event is for Foster, Adoptive, Kinship Care, DHR Social Workers, and others who are interested in learning more on caring for our children. If you would like to network with other families and professionals while gaining the knowledge needed to equip you to care for your children, this conference is for YOU!

You will be able to receive up to 15 hours of training credit hours if you attend a workshop during each time slot. Scholarship recipients have been selected for this year’s award ceremony, scheduled for Friday night at Shocco Springs. We had the largest number of applications ever this year, however, our overall donations for our Scholarship Fund is down. Please help us provide as many scholarships as possible by donating directly to our Scholarship Fund here.

About Shocco Springs Conference Center

When arriving at the conference, please check in at the Bagley Center, located just north of Chapel. All attendees must sign a liability waiver, available here: Shocco Springs Liability Waiver.

Check out a Campus Map by clicking here.

Conference participants will be provided with hotel-like accommodations. Most rooms include two full- or queen-sized beds but please note that being a Baptist Retreat, there are no TV’s or mini-fridges in the rooms so that you can truly find respite from the crazy “day-to-day.”

Meals are provided in the Dining-Room and there will be plenty of snacks & refreshments throughout the day near the workshops. Shocco does have a gift shop if you need to grab anything while in attendance. Walmart and other businesses are nearby (~10 minutes) if you need to grab anything you may have forgotten at home.
